This building is next door to yesterday's HAIF Photo of the Day selection, and again it's one that I had daydreams about when I lived nearby.I don't know its history, but I always imagined it was some kind of a saloon or feed store in days gone by and that junker repair shop in the back was a blacksmith's shop back when people in Texas still got around on horses. It didn't take much for my Yankee imagination to imagine all kinds of Lone Star lore that could have come from what is now a run-down check cashing place.
Thanks again to telwink for capturing another one of the places in Houston I never realized had such an impact on me.
